If I had wheels perhaps I wouldn’t be here, all cooped up, zooming along, and moving faster than I ever could. Speed. Hah! What’s the rush? My legs move you and I at a comfortable pace. Its bad enough you replace me – make me obsolete – but to have me ride in one? Forced!? I want to run to my destination thanks very much. I’m in no great rush. Nor do I shy away from some physical strain. I thrive on it! How dare you undermine my abilities! Not fast enough? HA! The very foundation of this nation was set upon the legs of my ancestors. But you animals turned this country to shit because of those cars, I hope you realize. And another thing; weren’t we friends, you and I? Man and beast? Kindred spirits, only while you needed me. Buggers. Well at least you don’t thrust us into wars any more.

Let’s go for a run when we get home? Let’s build a fence! Lets look at trees, or jump a log, or cross a stream! (try that in your fancy car!) Or…just take me back to the wild, if you’re finished with me. All this talk of hybrid cars, renewable fuel sources, etc… just start using us horses again. We’ll save the world, you and I…
